When did Sailor Moon manga first come out?

Answer: The original Sailor Moon series of manga were published between 1991 and 1997 in a monthly manga magazine called Nakayoshi. There were 16 individual chapters published in 18 volumes. The manga was then adapted to an anime series broadcast in Japan from 1992 to 1997. Additionally, there were three animated feature films, a TV special and three short films based on the animation released. Finally, between 2003 and 2004 a live action TV show call Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon aired and in 2014 a second anime series began airing called Sailor Moon Crystal.
